PHILIP CROCKER

 

Philip contributes professional business mentoring and executive coaching expertise and experience to the This Is team.  He has a strong background in business development, and enjoys working with people, teams and businesses keen to reach their ultimate potential and maximise business opportunity.

 

He started his career with HSBC and worked in the London, Paris and Singapore offices. On returning to London, he moved into the commercial property services sector working with leading London Property Asset Managers, national blue chip companies within the retail, commercial and public sectors at local and national levels.

 

Philip is highly motivated by new beginnings, which led to the formation in 1993 of a specialist property services company working with major Financial Institutions. The projects used the Internet in a pioneering approach to link all parties to the process (the supply chain).  All training and development programmes were produced and delivered internally to ensure strict SLA's were met. This niche business gained a market leading reputation, developing trust and effective commercial relationships within the sector.

 

Seeing beyond the 'now' to the potential in people, teams and organisations is a particular trait others have found in Philip and his approach as Executive Coach, Mentor and Consultant in both Public and Commercial sectors. This involves coming alongside Senior Management Professionals and their teams to help develop sustained internal capability and strategic thinking. Life is rarely black and white - and the ability to think with clarity through situations involving complexity and uncertainty, and harness the best of ourselves and others, is central to achieving desired aims.

 

Philip believes that playing to one's strengths is perhaps the obvious key to achieving fulfilling and effective outcomes at both a personal and professional level. This starts with self awareness and leads to a better awareness of others and the part they play in realising potential for themselves and all those invited to take part.  The strength of organisations can often be measured by the quality of the relationships they develop both internally and externally; working with our clients on these in context often lies at the heart of the very rewarding work we do.

 

Philip's approach can be characterised as outcome focused, curious and open minded, persistent, patient and pragmatic. He is a mature listener, with grounded commercial experience and a sense of humour.  He has Professional Coaching Skills qualifications from the ILM and is a certified Performance coach (ICF), as well as being accredited in coaching supervision. Philip also holds banking and management qualifications and is a Member of the Institute of Leadership and Management.
